13 weeks of NFL action are officially in the books, which means it’s time for the fantasy football playoffs. Whether you’re looking to take home a championship or just avoid coming in last, now is the time to pick up the best remaining defense on the waiver wire. Heading into Week 14, you should set your eyes on the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Note that in order to make this list, the defense had to be available in over 50% of fantasy leagues. If you’re in smaller leagues, there may be better players available. Make sure to check your waivers to see if there are any diamonds in the rough before submitting your claims

Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals Highlight Fantasy Football Week 14 Defense Waiver Wire Streams

Dallas Cowboys

Choosing a good defensive stream has more to do with the opponent than the actual defense itself. Mitchell Trubisky played well in Week 13, but that was probably a one-week fluke. By and large, Trubisky has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league and his subpar play should continue against the Dallas Cowboys. DeMarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn should be all over Trubisky while the secondary should have their fair share of chances to make plays on errant passes.

Arizona Cardinals

Full disclaimer, there is probably a better option out there than the Arizona Cardinals. However, as stated above, I only included defenses with over 50% availability, and the Cardinals are one of the best qualifiers. Arizona faces off against an underwhelming Pittsburgh Steelers offense led by Devlin Hodges. Hodges has played well in spurts, but he’s not the type of player capable of tearing apart an NFL defense. As if that wasn’t enough, Juju Smith-Schuster and James Conner could both miss, which obviously hurts Pittsburgh’s offensive potential. Arizona isn’t going to deliver a top-five fantasy week, but they could be a good streamer in a deep league.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense hasn’t been the same ever since they traded Jalen Ramsey away to the Rams. That said, this defense still has what it takes to take advantage of a favorable matchup, and they face a good one in Week 14. Philip Rivers played well in Week 13, but the Chargers quarterback has looked like a shell of his former self for the vast majority of the season. If Rivers regresses to his season-long form, then he should serve up a few easy turnovers for Jacksonville’s defense.
